District Governor Tom Crowley's official visit!
Tom was entertaining and inspiring -- he's a long time Rotarian from our nearby Hampton Bays club and a local businessman. Along with "Do More Rotary" he spoke about the importance of mental health, the Rotary benefits of fellowship, service and leadership. We are People of Action!
Tom also gifted President Billy with a Rotary shirt.
The club holiday party is coming up December 12, to be held at Buoy One. You won't want to miss the delicious food! Small plates so you can socialize, beer/wine included.
Past President Peg handled the Adopt a Highway cleanup on November 26th. Don't miss the next one, scheduled for March -- you never know what treasures will be found!
Be sure to note our first Maureen's Haven dinner of the year, sign up opportunity will be available. Justin's Chop Shop will be our first dinner sponsor, thank you Liz Lederer for securing that! (And thank Justin if you happen to shop there).
Linda Kerr shared details about the revival of the Flamingo Flocking fundraiser with the Interact students. It was a lot of fun and raised funds, what's better than that?
Our Rotary Flag Pole is nearly ready -- President Billy shared that the epoxy was applied, he has the hardware for flags and Jim Hulme has flags. Can't wait to see the Stars and Stripes flying again!
President Billy read a thank you note from one of our scholarship recipients. Really heartwarming to hear.
Be sure to let President Billy know how you'd like to get involved, he's always happy to have a hand.
